How can I check the status of my application?

Log into your online application account to check whether your application is under review, incomplete or ready for assessment.

How will I receive my official admission decision?

Upon acceptance into a master’s degree program, you will receive an official admission offer with all necessary details. Admission decisions are not subject to appeal.

What is the difference between regular and conditional admission?

Regular Admission
Except where restricted by further program level requirements, an applicant may be eligible for regular admission by meeting the following minimum requirements at the time of admission:

1. Academic Requirements
A. Graduate Programs Offered in Arabic and English

  • An earned baccalaureate degree in a discipline considered appropriate to the graduate program from an accredited university recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 point scale or equivalent.

2. Language Requirements
A. Graduate Programs Offered in Arabic

  • A TOEFL score of 133 CBT, 45 iBT, OR
  • An IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 4.5, OR
  • Evidence that the applicant is a native speaker of English who has completed his/her undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English is the official language.

B. Graduate Programs Offered in English

  • A TOEFL score of 213 CBT, 79 iBT, OR
  • An IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 6.0, OR
  • Evidence that the applicant is a native speaker of English who has completed his/her undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English is the official language.

Conditional Admission
Except where restricted by further program level requirements, an applicant who does not qualify for regular admission may be eligible for conditional admission by meeting the following minimum requirements at the time of admission:

1. Academic Requirements
A. Graduate Programs Offered in Arabic and English

  • An earned baccalaureate degree in a discipline considered appropriate to the graduate program from an accredited university recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 point scale or equivalent.

A conditionally admitted student:

  • May take a maximum of nine (9) credit hours in the first semester of study; and,
  • Must achieve a minimum of CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the first nine (9) credit hours in the credit-bearing courses studied for the graduate program.

A conditionally admitted student who fail to meet the requirements will be dismissed from the graduate program.

2. Language Requirements
A. Graduate Programs Offered in English

  • A TOEFL score of 197 CBT, 71 iBT, OR
  • An IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 5.5.

An IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 5.5.A conditionally admitted student:

  • Must meet the English language requirement for regular admission by the end of the student’s first semester of study.
  • May take a maximum of six (6) credit hours in the first semester of study, not including intensive English courses.
  • Must achieve a minimum of CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the first six (6) credit hours in the credit-bearing courses studied for the graduate program.

A conditionally admitted student who fail to meet the requirements will be dismissed from the graduate program.

How do I confirm my offer of admission?

Your offer of admission is confirmed once you pay the required registration fee by the deadline specified in your offer letter. Zayed University reserves the right to provoke any admission offer if you fail to pay the required registration fee.

After confirming your admission, you must register for the required program courses based on the curriculum plan before the start of each term or semester. Details on the program’s curriculum are available on the individual graduate degree program’s webpage or from the respective college/department.

Zayed University reserves the right to cancel your registration in a master’s degree program and/or revoke your offer of admission if any of the documents submitted by you is determined to be fraudulent or invalid at any stage after admission.

How do I request a deferral of my admission?

You may request deferred admission once to the program’s next admission cycle by completing and submitting an
e-Request to Defer Graduate Program Admission and paying the non-refundable "Deferred Admission" fee of AED 5,000 by 19 September 2025.  

The fee will be credited towards tuition charges in your account upon your first enrolment in the program.
